PLANEHAB Nosso Bairro
A public housing consultation turned into a game, used in live sessions in Bahia.

Problem
Bahia's Urban Development Secretariat needed to hear residents on housing in in-person and video sessions. Plain forms don't engage people, and on-site internet is usually poor.
Solution
Two games and a dashboard. In stage 1, each person drags cards onto a house and picks 12 priorities. In stage 2, up to 6 groups build a neighborhood across 13 hexes. The facilitator opens access, unlocks submission and follows results from the dashboard.
Highlights
- Moved the backend from Express and SQLite to Hono, Drizzle and PostgreSQL, with atomic writes instead of check-then-act.
- One-way session gates checked inside a row-locked transaction.
- A local mirror with a sync queue, so moves survive a dropped connection.
- Boards exported as high-resolution images that double as proof of participation.
- Deploys by atomic symlink swap, with health checks and automatic rollback on AWS Lightsail.
